Actor and comedian Clement Bonney, better known by his stage as Mr. Beautiful, hails from Ghana and believes that NDC leader John Mahama is the best person to address the issues facing the creative sector.

In an interview with TV3’s The Afternoon Show which was monitored by Atl Fm, Mr. Beautiful stated that he is certain the creative industry will prosper under the former President because Mahama has already demonstrated interest in and concern for creatives.

“We need a strong hand to help us to get the policies and certain rules and regulations that can help us. His Excellency John Mahama is one who cares about artistes. I believe he will do well for this industry and he cares about the industry a lot,” he said on Tuesday, September 10.

Mr. Beautiful went on to say that John Mahama currently provides funding for the maintenance of about 20 elderly performers and artists.

He claims that John Mahama’s expression of these and other worries demonstrates his understanding of the creative arts sector and the reason he “believes he is the one who can help us get what we want.”
