President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said that the One District One Factory (1D1F) project had employed 160,000 Ghanaians thus far.
This sum, he noted, is spread over 169 factories participating in the 1D1F initiative.
Mr Akufo-Addo made these remarks last week in Koforidua, Ghana, when he dedicated the state-of-the-art Koforidua Sports Stadium, also known as the Youth Resource Centre, the first of 10 similar stadiums with auxiliary facilities being built around the country.
In terms of sector growth, President Akufo-Addo stated that tourism-related jobs totaled 277,985, a 10% increase from the previous year, while providing growth training to 6,000 young individuals working in various roles such as cooks, security personnel, and tour guides will focus on unearthing talent within the tourism value chain in 2024.
