Telegram, a chat app that turned a profit last year, has updated its apps with features like better sticker search, the ability to select video covers, and the ability to copy films in real time.
In December, the company debuted its AI-powered sticker search, which let users search for stickers using natural language. But there were only 40,000 stickers available. With the latest upgrade, you can now access millions of stickers on the platform by entering searches like “Thinking monkey” or “Dog eyebrow raise.”

Additionally, the app provided enhancements to improve the platform’s video consumption. Similar to YouTube, users may now post a link to a video stored on Telegram that includes a precise time stamp. Similar to video thumbnails on other platforms, users can now select a frame for the video to use as the cover photo. The video editor also allows you to embellish the cover with text, stickers, and emoticons.

Additionally, Telegram is incorporating support for the video’s saved progress. This implies that you can pick up where you left off when watching a clip.
Telegram is infamous for hosting pirated video content on the app, even though some channels share their own content on the network. Not all of the 15 million groups and channels that the business eliminated last year had anything to do with piracy.
By introducing new discovery capabilities, such as suggesting related channels when users join one, Telegram began to improve its channels feature in 2023. The business is currently using a similar idea to discover new bots. You can locate analogous bots on the “Similar Bots” page found on a bot service’s profile.
