The Takoradi woman involved in the alleged Kidnapping, Josephine Panyin Mensah has confessed that she was neither kidnapped or ever being pregnant.
This is based on Police investigations in the controversies surrounding the 28 year woman who is now a suspect in the ongoing case.
The police in a brief statement on Friday indicated that, “the suspect Josephine Panyin Mensah, 28, has confessed to the Police during further investigations and stated that neither was she pregnant nor ever being kidnapped. The public will be updated with further details.”
Josephine Panyin Mensah was alleged to be pregnant when she was supposedly kidnapped some days ago but resurfaced a week later at Axim in the Western region without her pregnancy or the baby in hand.
This sparked many controversies within the public space as many demanded explanations after the Western regional minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah claimed the suspect was not pregnant.
Family of the suspect especially rained insults on the minister regarding his claims as the family strongly argued that Josephine was pregnant when she went missing.
But the latest development according to the police as mentioned earlier indicates that suspect Josephine Panyin Mensah has confessed otherwise.
