Dancehall and Reggae artiste, Stonebwoy has revealed that the suit against entertainment entrepreneur and politician, Baba Sadiq could have been avoided if the latter did the needful.
According to the Bhim Native President, he had a very cordial relationship with Baba Sadiq, but recent happenings made him take that decision.
In a writ filed in the High Court of Justice on 31 May 2024, the reigning Ghanaian Artist of the Year is asking the court to order Baba Sadiq to delete and render an unqualified apology to Stonebwoy for the offending tweets.
“The Manordzi” crooner is also asking the court to award him damages of GHS 3 million for the harm which the tweets have caused to his reputation on the basis that Baba Sadiq acted maliciously and with intent to defame him by publishing statements that he knew to be false.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Accra based Hitz FM, the Bhim Nation president has explained that if Baba Sadiq had recused himself from those defamatory comments, his legal team wouldn’t have proceeded with the law suit.
“He could have issued a disclaimer to detach himself from all the insults. But none of that was done. And when he was asked, you could see the way he was going about it, as if I had done him some evil” he indicated.

He also added that Baba Sadiq also went on to make false claims about his source of finances and that was the last straw that broke camel’s back.

“Even when he was tweeting different things to fans or replying to fans, telling lies about who finances me, claiming he put money directly in my pocket while he was owing me. It was on this platform that Bulldog stated he owed me. I had to quiet him. I wondered how he even knew. So, seeing these things, I’m like, no, this is too much.” he said.
Commenting on the alleged threat to Baba Sadiq’s wife, he explained that he had nothing sinister in mind.
“I picked up the phone and called my sister. We relate; we vibe from time to time. So I called her because we vibe. I call her sis. But I don’t know what I’ve done to your husband”.
