The football governing body of South Africa SAFA have written to Ghana requesting a friendly match before the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations next year, according to sources.
Recently, there has been some squabble between Ghana and South Arica after their last world cup qualification game that ended 1-0 in favor of Ghana at the Cape Coast Stadium.

SAFA was not happy with the way things panned out in their game against Ghana hence their petition to FIFA to relook at things concerning the game.
FIFA’s verdict on SAFA’s petition failed to go in favor of SAFA since the case was according to FIFA, ‘inadmissible’ hence, its dismissal.
South Africa failed to qualify to the next stage of the FIFA world cup qualifications after this last defeat to Ghana.
