Elder Emmanuel Cudjoe, the National Deacon of the Church of Pentecost (CoP) in South Africa, who was abducted, has allegedly returned home alive yesterday, October 31, 2023.
“God has done it, dear saints,” declared Apostle A. Yiadom-Boakye, the National Head Pastor of South Africa.
“By the grace of God, the National Deacon, Elder Emmanuel Cudjoe, has now returned home, alive. God has done it again, miraculously. Thank you for your prayers.”
On Sunday, October 29, 2023, a church deacon was kidnapped during the church service, and members of the Johannesburg branch of the Ghanaian Church of Pentecost were robbed of their belongings at gunpoint.

Ghana’s High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa, promised to work with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the Church of Pentecost to make sure the deacon is released and returned safely and quickly.
The Ghana High Commission stated in a statement released on Monday that “the Mission is currently working with the Church in collaboration with the South African Police Service (SAPS) to ensure the victim’s prompt and safe release and return to his family.”
“Kindly note that the South African Police are fully focused on the matter and are working hard to ensure the safe return of our compatriot.”
As of right now, no formal statement on the latest incident has been released by Ghana’s Mission in South Africa or the Church of Pentecost.
