Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo has tested positive for Covid19. Information Minister Kojo oppong Nkrumah confirmed the news in a press briefing early Tuesday morning.
Mr Osafo Marfo becomes one of the key government officials to have so far contracted the virus. Minister of Education Matthew Opoku Premeph, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Carlos Ahenkorah, Health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu are among the few officials of the government to have tested for positive for the virus Currently President Akufo Addo is also on self-isolation after a close member within his circles tested positive for covid 19.

The President, according to a release from his office tested negative for the virus but has been directed on the recommendation of his Doctors to take a fourteen day “precautionary self-isolation measure in compliance with Covid19.”
