From Saturday, May 8, to Sunday, May 9, 2021, sections of the N4 (Tetteh Quarshie-Koforidua) road will be closed to enable the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) to string transmission line conductors along the stretch.
Motorists are urged to obey traffic diversion signs that will be installed at different parts of the N4 – Okponglo, near McDan Offices, La Bawaleshie, and East Legon.
“The Ministry of Roads and Highways wishes to warn the public and all road users that certain parts of the N4 (Tetteh Quarshie-Koforidua) will face minimal to severe traffic delays from Saturday, May 8 to Sunday, May 9th, 2021, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. daily. This will enable GRIDco to string transmission line conductors across the N4 (Tetteh Quarshie-Madina-Adentan Road),” according to the declaration.
Recently, sections of the N1, N2, and N4 highways were closed for a related exercise.
This exercise came after a complete power system failure, which GRIDCo blamed on a technical fault on one of the main transmission lines connecting Prestea and Obuasi.
