Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) scholarship beneficiaries at the University of Cape Coast, on a courtesy visit to the Foundation’s offices in Takoradi, have lauded GNPC’s educational support to brilliant but needy Ghanaian students.
Tebson Haruna Mohammed, leader of the delegation representing the student body at the meeting with Dr. Dominic Eduah, the Executive Director, stated that the group’s decision to visit the Foundation was based on their understanding of their special status as GNPC scholars, which has turned each of them into an ambassador for the Corporation.
He implied that while the Foundation’s efforts are visible in many sectors contributing to Ghana’s development, the investments made in Ghanaian students and educational facilities are where the impact on Ghanaians’ lives is most strongly felt.
In order to fulfill their mandate as researchers to promote a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda, the group also discussed its objectives for the academic year and looked for opportunities for collaboration and support.

The Executive Director, on his part, expressed satisfaction with the scholars’ ability and insight and gave them the directive to keep working hard in their individual academic endeavors.
The students took advantage of the chance to thank the Executive Director for his efforts on behalf of the Ghanaian student by giving him a citation.
After thanking them for their acknowledgment, Dr. Eduah dedicated the Award to the Corporation’s leadership, both past and present.
Dr. Caroline Aggrey-Fynn, the Foundation’s Head of the Education & Training Unit, and a few others from the GNPC were also present at the meeting.
The general secretary Victoria Acheampong, the PRO Emmanuel Amoateng, and the organizer Ebenezer Dadzie-Mensah were also there with the scholars.
