The Guinness World Record for the longest makeup application marathon by an individual was broken by Roselyn Akosua Mantey, a gifted makeup artist from Ghana.
The astounding five days of nonstop makeup application took place from Wednesday, April 3, to Sunday, April 7, 2024, when the remarkable feat came to an end.
The previous record held by Roselyn Akosua Mantey was only 24 hours.
Akosua Mantey was originally scheduled to run the longest marathon for six days, but she had to abandon it because of health issues.
She got a ton of support from well-known people and celebrities who came to the event to encourage her throughout the session. Prominent personalities such AJ Poundz, Sokoo Hemaa, and Xandy Kamel attended the occasion with their attendance, expressing support and respect for Mantey’s incredible effort. The occasion was further enhanced by the endorsements of prominent figures such as Ms. Nancy, Anita Akuffo, Nana Yaa Brefo, Berla Mundi, and Osei Felicia.

Roselyn Akosua Mantey has been in the makeup industry for more than eight years, and her enthusiasm and perseverance have helped her reach this amazing feat.
She thanked everyone who had helped her along the way after having this unique experience. She also disclosed her future goals, announcing the start of the “Agenda Get a Skill” project, which intends to offer free beauty instruction tours around Ghana.
In her own words, “A lot is coming up, and we are going to have a free makeup training tour across Ghana with the name Agenda Get a Skill project.” Her determination and vision for empowering others through skill development are truly inspiring”.
