President Mahama has announced his first set of ministerial nominations signaling a significant step in forming his new government.
A release from the Presidency issued today January 9, 2025 revealed Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson – Minister for Finance Designate, John Abu Jinapor- Minister for Energy Designate and Dominic Akuritinga Ayini – Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Designate.
The nominations are in accordance with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana and the nominees will now await parliamentary approval during which they will undergo thorough vetting by the parliamentary vetting committee that will be established for that purpose.
