The newly elected president of the University of Cape Coast Alumni Association, Samuel Danso Akoto has called on the entire Alumni body to collaborate to form a strong bond for the development of the University.
He said it is time the UCC ALUMNI both in Ghana and abroad came on onboard to offer their maximum contribution to the association and the university.
Mr. Samuel Danso Akoto was speaking to ATLFM and TVUCC after the Association’s election of new leaders during its annual general meeting held at the School of Medical Sciences Auditorium last Friday.
Mr. Danso assured the entire Alumni body and members of the University community that, he will work with all the newly elected executives to ensure that they implement policies that will help push the association forward.
He said the Alumni body will form a strong bond with the university and also ensure that the Alumni regardless of their location will also form an integral part of the development of the university and its Alumni.

“We are also going to ensure that there is a proper mentorship program so that those in school get to benefit from those doing exploit in the outside world. I believe that we are all-powerful men and women who are very experienced and have the required leadership qualities to take the Alumni to a different level.
Taking members of the association through the revised constitution of the Association, Mr. Godwin Asante Forkuo, Assistant Registrar at the Institutional Advancement office of the University stated that there are suggestions to develop cohorts of the alumni association.
The various cohorts of the Alumni associations to be developed he notes is to ensure every member has one to join in other to partake in the activities of the Association.
