An unknown middle-aged man was killed in a car crash involving a police car on the Damongo-Busunu highway in the Savannah region.
The incident happened on January 16th, 2023, a Monday.

The victim, who is thought to be a herdsman, is reported to have been killed instantly when a car ran him over as he crossed from the western portion of the road to the main road.
A police source stated that the accident occurred while the car with the registration number GP516 was transporting about seven suspects from the Damongo Police station to Tamale.
Since then, the body has been kept at the mortuary of Saint Anne’s Hospital for additional investigations.
The seven suspects are currently being heavily monitored by the military at the Busunu Police station.
