A half-ton of marijuana worth 8 million dollars was discovered by a police dog after a traffic stop
The event happened Tuesday, 16th March,2021 afternoon outside Lowell, Indiana, when a policeman stopped a van for a moving violation and searched it.
“During the search, troopers found 38 big boxes and 6 black garbage bags,” Indiana State Police said.
“The boxes were covered in black plastic wrap, and inside were 1,264 individually packed containers, each weighing about 1.5 lbs [about 680 grams] and containing a green plant substance, which a field test found to be marijuana.”

The driver, Christopher Colburn, 31, was arrested at the scene.
A white van loaded with black garbage bags was seen in a screenshot of the arrest.
Colburn has been charged with selling pot, a category 5 crime, and smoking marijuana with a criminal arrest, a level 6 felony.
