The investigation into the Abesim murder case has unraveled the location, where suspect Richard Appiah buried the intestines of one of the murdered victims.
According to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters team, the intestines were buried on a cocoa farm at Abesim. In a statement signed by the Acting Director-General, Public Affairs, ACP Kwesi Ofori, the intestines have been exhumed and presented for pathological analysis and forensic examination.
He further stated that the investigation team has also worked around a septic tank and other places of concern for further examination. Two sharp cutlasses with bloodstains used by the suspect to commit the crime have also been retrieved from the scene.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Institution of Surveyors, (GhlS) says per its records of qualified and registered members, comprising Land Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors and Valuation and Estate Surveyors, Richard Appiah, the suspect at the center of the Abesim murder case in Sunyani, is NOT a bona fide member of the Institution.
A statement by the Honorary Secretary of the Institution, Nana Nuamah Kyei Baffour, said the Ghana Institution of Surveyors, does not know the suspect nor have any dealings with him.
It said the Institution takes strong exception to media reports that sought to describe Richard Appiah as a Surveyor, and consequently, urged media houses, whose earlier reports on the issue, describing the suspect as a Surveyor, to correct the anomaly.
