In a shocking case of online deception and sexual exploitation, a 26-year-old plumber and hairstylist, Philip Spain Narh, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for sexually extorting and blackmailing a 19-year-old Senior High School (SHS) graduate.
Narh, who also went by the alias Sharon Stuttgart Woods, manipulated the teenager under the pretense of helping her achieve her dreams of becoming a web developer and studying abroad. However, his real intentions were sinister—he used deceit, coercion, and digital threats to sexually abuse and control the victim over a period of time.
How It All Began: A Digital Deception
The victim, whose identity is being withheld for privacy reasons, was introduced to Narh through a Telegram contact named Delphine in 2020.
The accused presented himself as a German-American businesswoman and philanthropist named Sharon Stuttgart Woods, claiming to be passionate about empowering young black girls by providing mentorship and financial assistance.
Using this elaborate scheme, Narh convinced the victim that he could help her gain admission to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to study web development.
The young girl, eager to pursue her dreams, confided in her supposed mentor about her career aspirations and was led to believe that she would receive support.
The Trap: Manipulation and Sexual Exploitation
In December 2020, Narh told the victim that he had arrived in Ghana and arranged for them to meet at a hotel in Dodowa. However, at the last minute, he claimed he had been called into an urgent meeting and directed her to meet his driver’s brother at Bawaleshie instead.
Unbeknownst to the victim, the so-called “driver’s brother” was Narh himself. Upon meeting her, he manipulated and coerced her into engaging in sexual activities, telling her it was a “loyalty test” she needed to pass in order to secure her scholarship.
He secretly recorded the entire encounter without her consent.
Following the incident, the victim, who had just lost her virginity under disturbing circumstances, was overwhelmed with guilt and shame. She decided to cut off communication with Narh and deleted her Telegram account. However, this was only the beginning of her nightmare.
Relentless Blackmail: A Second Identity and More Abuse
Determined to continue his abuse, Narh created another Telegram identity under the name Valquez Rodeo De Mel and reached out to the victim, pretending to be someone else. He claimed that he had been paid to leak her sex video but was willing to help her if she cooperated.
Terrified, the victim fell deeper into his trap. Narh demanded that she engage in anal and oral sex with him twice a month to prevent the video from being released. When she refused, he went ahead and published her nude photos and videos on an adult Telegram channel called ADULT HOUSE.
He then sent her the link, showing her how her most private moments had been exposed to strangers.
This led the victim into a state of extreme distress. She began experiencing suicidal thoughts and confided in a close friend, who advised her to comply with Narh’s demands to prevent further damage.
On January 12, 2021, she reluctantly visited him again to plead with Sharon Stuttgart Woods (still unaware that it was Narh all along) to take down the videos.
Instead of showing remorse, Narh became violent and forced her into vaginal and oral sex again. He recorded this second encounter and used it to continue his threats, deepening his hold over her.
Breaking Free: The Courage to Speak Up
The victim, unable to bear the torment any longer, finally opened up to her coding tutor, who noticed that she was deeply troubled. The tutor urged her to report the matter to the police.
Law enforcement officials immediately took action, leading to Narh’s arrest. A search of his residence uncovered two mobile phones containing explicit videos of the victim.

Additionally, a quantity of suspected narcotic substances, including dried powder, seeds, and liquid substances, were seized.
Laboratory tests later confirmed that the substances were cannabis, weighing a total of 169.6 grams.
Justice Served: 12 Years Behind Bars
Narh was charged with seven counts, including:
- Sexual extortion
- Non-consensual sharing of intimate images
- Publication or sale of obscene material
- Unlawful possession of narcotic drugs
Despite pleading not guilty, he was found guilty after a full trial. The court, recognizing the gravity of his crimes and the psychological trauma inflicted on the victim, sentenced him to 12 years in prison.
Lessons and Warnings: Protecting the Vulnerable in the Digital Age
This case underscores the dangers of online predators and the devastating consequences of digital exploitation.
Young individuals, especially those seeking mentorship or career opportunities, must be cautious about who they interact with online.
Cybersecurity experts advise against sharing personal information with strangers, and in cases of online coercion, victims are encouraged to seek help immediately from trusted individuals or law enforcement.
As authorities continue to combat cyber-related sexual crimes, this case serves as a stern warning that perpetrators of such heinous acts will be brought to justice.
