The Pedu-Abura Circuit instituted an annual inter-school quiz competition as part of the major measures aimed at promoting and achieving academic excellence among the schools in the circuit and to excel across all completions and examinations both in the metropolis, region and the Ghana at large.
Six schools comprising Ebubonko M/A, ST. Anthony Anglican, Pedu M/A “A”, Alhamadiyya “A”, Kakumdo M/A and Pedu M/A “B” competed in the finals stage of the competition.
Speaking to ATLFMNEWS, the Cape Coast Director of Education, Mrs. Phyllis Asante Krobea indicated that the quiz competition forms part of the many activities to prepare the students to face all academic aspects.
“All those who come around to cheer the contestants although they are not the ones on the hot heat but at the end of the day, they also learn something. Also, these are past questions we are using to do the contest so indirectly we are teaching them and we know is going to reflect in the BECE”, she said.
She urged the students not to consider the quiz as a mere competition but to deem it as an avenue to advance their academic career and pledged her support to promote education in the Cape Coast Metro.

He also indicated that the circuit will do it best to win the pending inter-circuit competition in the Metropolis.

The three (3) contestants who led the Pedu M/A “A” to victory, Othniel Nmuanbindo Djankpa, Edmond Kwesi Gyesi Mensah and Benedicta Esinam Mensah shared their excitement with atlfmnews over their victory and pledged their commitment to work hard going into the Inter-Circuit Competition which commences on Monday July 17, to the 26 July, 2023.
