Bishop Stephen Kwesi Appiah of the New Life Kingdom Chapel, popularly known as Jesus Ahuofe, has been arrested.
His arrest is related to his prophecy that Shatta Wale, a dancehall artist, will be killed on October 18, 2021.
He is presently being questioned by the Accra Regional Police Command.
On Monday, October 18, 2021, rumors spread that Shatta Wale had been shot by unknown gunmen.
However, in a long Facebook post on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, Shatta Wale apologized to his followers and those who were harmed by what he termed as a hoax.
He said he stole the team members’ phones and created the fake post.
He referred to a recent prophesy made by a minister of the gospel that he will be murdered on October 18, 2021.
According to Shatta Wale, he was shocked that the security agencies were unable to provide him with protection after the prophesy.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service’s Director of Public Affairs, Supt. Alexander Obeng, has asked members of the public to come forward with information regarding Shatta Wale’s whereabouts.
