In order to avoid being disconnected, Parliament has paid the Electricity Company of Ghana about GH8 million of the GH13 million it owed.
When the revenue mobilization squad from ECG visited Ghana’s parliament house with the intention of disconnecting the building from the national electricity grid, the partial payment was paid.

The exercise is a component of the power distributor’s efforts to recoup approximately GH5 billion in debt accrued by commercial and public organizations since August last year.
The experiment started today, March 20, 2023, when ECG stated that its main offices would close, save for the customer service divisions, for a one-month exercise.
The task force is currently heading to another institution.
