Dr Kingsley Nyarko, the Kwadaso Member of Parliament (MP), has advised parents and guardians to maintain a close watch on their children and wards in order for them to develop into good people in the future.
It is therefore important for parents to keep an eye on their children’s movements, as well as that of the children for whom they play, to ensure that they do not fall victim to unscrupulous individuals.
Dr Nyarko told the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Kumasi that parents should aim to ensure not only their children’s growth and health, but also their proper socio-cultural progress.
Parents and guardians, he added, play a critical role in ensuring that all children receive the proper nurturing in order to mature into responsible and prosperous individuals in the future.
Dr. Nyarko also urged parents to pay attention to the types of friends their children want to walk with, as well as what they watch on television and on social media platforms.

They can also strengthen contact connections with their children and wards, as this has been shown to increase the self-confidence of children, especially adolescents.
Dr. Nyarko believes that parents must be accountable for discovering and improving their children’s potential at all levels in development, since this would enable them grow into responsible adults.
Even if their attempts failed, they could continue to help and inspire their children.
