The Office of the Special Prosecutor is urging anyone with information on him, to contact the Office of the Special Prosecutor
OSP had named the Former Secretary of the dissolved Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), Charles Bissue as a person of interest after the investigative documentary titled Galamsey Fraud Part 1 published by Tiger Eye P.I. and investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
However, Charles Bissue filed a writ at the High Court to prevent the OSP from prosecuting him.
He also failed to honour an invitation from the Special Prosecutor, citing human rights abuse.
But the OSP found his failure to the invitation as an obstruction to the investigation and has therefore declared him wanted.
According to the OSP, it has concluded investigation into allegations of the use of public Office for profit against Charles Bissue during his tenure as secretary to the erstwhile Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining, (IMCIM), arising from an investigative documentary titled Galamsey Fraud Part 1 published by Tiger Eye P.I. and investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The conclusion of the OSP’s investigation into the allegations against Charles Bissue has been eagerly anticipated, as it is seen as a test of the government’s commitment to fighting corruption in the country.
