Ghanaian rapper, Opanka released a trending song to chastise the current NPP government over their failure to curb the erratic supply of electricity popularly referred as “Dumsor”.
Opanka revealed the reason why he did the “Dumsor” song while he was speaking in an interview with Amansan Krakye on the Drive show of Cape Coast based Property FM.
According Armstrong Affum known by the stage name Opanka, he explained that even though he’s out of the country, he also feels the effect the erratic supply of electricity has on Ghanaians.

“The Boo bi ye de” hitmaker also indicated that even though he is currently out of the country, he won’t stay forever and would definitely be back to the country.
“I’m not here to stay and I’ll return to continue with the work I’m doing here in Ghana so if something is going on there I’m also part of it and aside from me, my family is still in Ghana” he added.
Citing the fact that Ghana is first of all his birth country, he still resides in the country because he hasn’t fully migrated.

“I’m not here to stay and I’ll return to continue with the work I’m doing here in Ghana so if something is going on there I’m also part of it and aside from me, my family is still in Ghana” he said.
He later took a swipe at the leadership of the country indicating that leaders ought to care about their subjects, however, it seems that is not the case.
Opanka therefore opined that as a leader he would lead, hence his decision to come up with the Dumsor demonstration song to show his love for his fans and Ghanaians.
