T. B. Joshua’s widow, a well-known Nigerian televangelist and the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), has come out about how she is coping with her husband’s death.
“Losing a loved one is never easy; whether sudden or foreseen, it’s always heartbreaking,” Evelyn Joshua said on Twitter after her husband died.
“Grief can wreak havoc on our overall well being. That’s why it’s important to stay rooted to the Almighty. Only He can lessen our heartache and comfort us in these times. Seek refuge in Him.”
Temitope Balogun Joshua, her 57-year-old husband, exhibited no signs of sickness, she added.
On Saturday, June 5, after one of his evening sessions, the controversial pastor died.
According to accounts, he had a stroke just two months beforehand and was rushed to Turkey for treatment. The father of three was reportedly transported from Nigeria to Turkey in an air ambulance for treatment since his condition was critical.
Reports indicate that the pastor recently returned to Nigeria after treatment.
Mourners gather for synagogue
Thousands of his fans have gathered to Synagogue Church since the news of his death was announced, their faces soaked in shock and amazement.
Some of his church members cried and hoped for miracles to bring the pastor back to life on what they described as a dark and dreary Saturday.
T.B. Joshua’s death was characterized as a “blow to the face” by a woman who couldn’t contain her emotions. Her world has come to a halt as a result of the death of the man of God.
“Who is going to assist us, who is going to assist the widows?” says the narrator. T.B. Joshua, don’t leave; return.”
Prior to his death, the preacher, according to one of his disciples, continued encouraging them to watch and pray. He feels the preacher guy predicted his demise.
