Outstanding performers were given special recognition, as were teams. The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, commended Primetime Limited for sustaining the competition for three decades.
He said that the competition is an excellent way to develop and prepare young minds for the STEM agenda of the government.
The managing director of Primetime Limited, Mrs. Nana Akua Mensa-Bonsu, announced plans to hold an All Africa Science and Maths Quiz by 2025, inviting participation from every nation in Africa.
“An intellectual competition of the calibre of the NSMQ can and should be exported, in line with our interest in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA),” she continued.
Commencing in 1993, this year celebrates the NSMQ tournament’s 30th anniversary.
