Actor and politician John Dumelo fulfilled his pledge on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, to march barefoot backwards from the University of Ghana’s main gate to the Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC) Legon campus.
Dumelo had made the vow during the National Science and Maths Quiz, where he passionately supported his alma mater, Achimota School.
If Achimota lost, he had vowed to make the arduous trek.
Regretfully, PRESEC prevailed over Achimota in the competition, leading to social media appeals for Dumelo to honour his pledge.

At 4:00 p.m., the aspiring Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon on the opposition NDC ticket started off on his journey, flanked by a big crowd of fans and media personnel.
