Achimota School ended the seasons of St. Louis SHS and Wesley Girls SHS in the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) 2023 semifinals.
With an incredible 22 points, Achimota School dominated the first round. St. Louis and Wesley Girls came in second and third, with 15 and 8 points, respectively.

There was no obvious path to win the NSMQ in the second round’s speed race or the third round’s “problem of the day”. Achimota School was on the verge of a shock after dropping two points in round two and earning only two in round three.
However, Achimota School had returned by the tournament’s fourth round, winning the round with 38 points. They won this challenging competition because they were able to hold onto their advantage by scoring three more points in the fifth round.
Wesley Girls and St. Louis both overcame poor starts in the day’s game to face Achimota School, but despite their best efforts, the Accra-based school, which dominated the first round, was able to establish a strong advantage and control the game’s tempo.
At last, Achimota was in turn. a triumph and a spot at the National Theatre in Accra for the grand finale.
