The National Service Authority (NSA) has dismissed allegations that prospective service personnel are paying for preferential postings, describing the claims as misleading and aimed at exploiting applicants.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, the Authority stressed that the national service posting system remains entirely automated, rule-based and immune to external influence. According to the NSA, no personnel can buy their way into a preferred institution, and any individual or group demanding payment is engaged in fraudulent activity.
“The NSA does not engage in special postings, nor does it charge personnel money for postings or repostings,” the Authority stated. It urged applicants to report such cases immediately to security agencies.
New Support Systems Rolled Out to Assist Applicants
Alongside the clarification, the NSA announced a range of support systems introduced during the ongoing registration period to improve efficiency and help resolve documentation issues faced by some applicants.
A dedicated help desk—created through collaboration with the National Identification Authority (NIA) and the Ghana Publishing Company—was established at the NSA Headquarters to address inconsistencies in applicants’ personal records, including name corrections and date-of-birth discrepancies.

Additionally, the gazette process has been fully digitalised through a new e-gazette platform, allowing applicants to complete documentation corrections online. The Authority noted that negotiated reductions in gazette service fees were introduced to reduce financial stress on personnel.
Expanded Regional Support and Appointment System Introduced
To streamline administrative processes and enhance service delivery, the NSA has set up additional support desks across all regional offices and reinforced its headquarters with an advanced IT desk, operational throughout the registration window.
The Authority has also adopted a structured appointment system to reduce congestion and manage foot traffic at its headquarters. Applicants seeking in-person assistance are now required to book appointment slots via designated phone lines or online forms, while regional offices remain open for walk-in visits.
Prospective personnel with unresolved issues can contact the NSA Call Centre on 0554404422, 0554400078 or 0554400069, or schedule virtual consultations.
The NSA expressed appreciation to applicants for their cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a transparent, fair and accountable posting process.
