The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has profusely expressed their disappointment over the mode of resignation of Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremateng from the NPP Party.
According to the General Secretary of NPP, Justin Frimpong Kodua, the party wants to believe that his decision to hold a press conference to pronounce his resignation without prior information to the leadership of the party, means he made a pre-meditated and irrevocable decision to resign from the party.
At a press conference on Tuesday, September 26 in response to Alan’s resignation on Monday, 25th September 2023, Justin Kodua explained that Alan Kyerematen portrayed no sign of resigning from the party or running as an independent candidate when the National Chairman of NPP visited him in an attempt to bring all the ten aspirants together after the August 26 Special Delegates Conference.
Mr. Kodua made reference to party faithful who had the vision to lead the party and country and did not succeed but continued to serve in the party.
To him, that showed their resilient support for the NPP party.
Meanwhile, the NPP has commended Alan Kyerematen for his services rendered to the party through his membership with the party.
“The New Patriotic Party acknowledge Mr. Kyerematen’s contributions to our party’s growth and development over the years, we respect his decision and extend our gratitude for the services rendered for the NPP and mother Ghana.”
