Teni, a Nigerian musician, started crying on Sunday, February 11, following the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Cote D’Ivoire, the 2023 AFCON host nation.
The musician wept uncontrollably while expressing sadness and embarrassment in a widely shared video on X.
After the Nigerian team seized the lead with a goal in the first half of the match, Teni had hoped that they would win their fourth AFCON crown.
But her hopes were not fulfilled, which left her feeling utterly disappointed.
“Ivory Coast you think you can embarrass me. Somebody please I need oxygen…you want to embarrass me,” she said while crying.
