The National Identification Authority (NIA) has revised fees for Ghana Card services, introducing new charges for registration, card replacement, and record updates.
The updated fees, announced via the NIA’s official Facebook page on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, apply to services at designated registration centres.
Under the new pricing structure, first-time registration and record updates will each cost GHC 310.00.
Individuals seeking a card replacement will pay GHC 420.00, while those updating their records and replacing their cards at the same time will be charged GHC 355.00.
Additionally, changes to nationality details will cost GHC 365.00.
Ghana Card’s Growing Role in National and International Services
The Ghana Card has become a critical identification tool, serving as proof of identity, citizenship, and residency for both domestic and international transactions.
It plays a key role in accessing government services, banking, healthcare, and electoral processes.

Since its launch, more than 18 million Ghanaians have been registered, with the NIA expanding issuance to Ghanaians living abroad.
