The Ghana Airports Company Limited has declared that the new terminal building at Prempeh I International Airport in Kumasi will commence operations starting July 1, 2024.
In a statement released today, management outlined plans for simulations of all processes and systems in collaboration with stakeholders from June 25th to 30th to ensure a smooth transition.
To refine the operationalization further, three live flights will be conducted from the new terminal between June 28th and 30th.
Passengers traveling with Africa World Airline and Passion Air on these dates are advised to take note of these arrangements.
The new terminal features include two passenger boarding bridges, three additional lounges, four boarding gates, four self-service check-in kiosks, nine check-in desks, sixteen immigration booths, as well as airline and staff offices, and a spacious commercial retail area, designed to enhance passenger experience.
