The leadership of the National Sports Authority together with the department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) of the University of Cape Coast embarked on a Climate Change and Sports seminar at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to help create a befitting environment for football development in the region.
This is the first time a program like this has been held at the Central Region to foster football development in the region.
The program was attended by some dignities in the sporting fraternity including sports administrators, coaches, PE instructors, federation heads etc.
Representatives of the National Sports Authority, the Head of Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Dr. Edward Willson Ansah and Mr. Alexander Tieku, Regional Director of National Sports Authority were all present at the program.

The participants were taken through how climate change affects the game positively and negatively and how the sporting fraternity can embrace it in diverse ways.
Speaking at the program, the Central regional director of the National Sports Authority, Mr. Alexander Tieku expressed his gratitude on how the various stake holders responded to the call and assured the public that the program has come to stay.
