Before, the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) had issued a rule prohibiting celebrities from appearing in alcohol-related advertisements.
The FDA’s directive aims to prevent celebrities from influencing young people to become alcoholics.
Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, also known as Mzbel, said in an interview over the weekend with Nana Kwame Gyan, host of Onua Showbiz, that she will have to move to Nigeria if she wants to be able to profit from any advertisements associated with alcoholic products because they are not allowed to advertise them in Ghana.

“I don’t know if the government will have to bring another rule that will ban we the Ghanaians from going to other countries to endorse alcoholic beverages. That is when I will stand as a citizen because that will be my right as an adult”, she said.
She made it very obvious that she would not think twice to travel to Nigeria to promote for Joy Dadi if she were to sign a new contract with them. She would also make sure to film the advertisement and share it on all the kids’ social media sites.
