The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also recognized as Chairman Wontumi, has recounted what one of his teachers taught him while he was in school.
Chairman Wontumi said in an interview with blogger ZionFelix that he was not on his teacher’s list of students who would be successful in life.
He announced that one of his Economics teachers at Prempeh College, Pawoo, predicted his failure in life.
However, Mr Antwi Boasiako claimed that he confronted the instructor about his pronouncement.

He believed in himself, and as a result, he informed the teacher that he would be the most successful student after school.
When a teacher referred to him as a “foolish child,” he rebutted the label, reminding him that only time will say who will succeed or fail.
He acknowledged, however, that years after graduating from Prempeh College, he continues to read economics books since ‘economics’ is a part of daily life.
The politician has used the interview to discuss some of the obstacles he overcame in life on his way to where he is now.
