A family of three perished in a house fire at Abuakwa in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday morning.
Abigail Manu, a 28-year-old mother, and her two daughters Nora and Philipa Yeboah, who were 9 and 6, respectively, are all involved in the terrible incident.
Eyewitnesses said that two other family members in the home were able to escape, but the three were trapped inside and died from burn injuries as a result.
Officers from the fire service intervention stopped the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
The affected house has been completely destroyed.
