Peter Anthony Morgan, the frontman of Morgan Heritage, a renowned Jamaican reggae ensemble that has clinched Grammy Awards, has been reported dead at the age of 46, as reported by The Associated Press.

His family confirmed his demise via a statement posted on the band’s social media channels. No details regarding the cause of death were provided, and information about his surviving relatives was not immediately disclosed.

In the statement, he was portrayed as a husband, father, son, and brother.

“Peetah” Morgan, also known as Mr. Morgan, co-founded Morgan Heritage alongside some of his siblings in 1994.

Peter Anthony Morgan was reported dead at age 46.

During their early years, Morgan Heritage collaborated with Bobby Digital, a highly influential producer in Jamaica, on several albums, including “Protect Us Jah” (1997) and “Don’t Haffi Dread” (1999).

Their album “Strictly Roots” secured the Best Reggae Album award at the 2015 Grammys. Two years later, their album “Avrakedabra” was nominated for the same award but was ultimately edged out by “Stony Hill” by Damian Marley, the son of Bob Marley.
