Due to minor issues, Mohammed Kudus elected to stay home rather than participate in the team’s morning practice on Tuesday.
His absence is being explained by rumors that Chelsea of the Premier League are interested in signing him. The Athletic claims that Chelsea and the Dutch club have begun negotiations over the potential move of Kudus to Stamford Bridge.
Although Chelsea hasn’t made an official offer to Ajax, talks between the two teams have occurred, indicating the London club’s desire to hire the Ghanaian international sensation.

Chelsea is apparently considering Kudus as one of their possibilities as they look to strengthen their team during the summer transfer season. The player and the dominant English Premier League club are reportedly close to agreeing on personal terms.
The 22-year-old’s current deal with Ajax has two years still to go. He had turned down a one-year contract extension offered to him in April, but he now says he is keen to leave the Johan Cruyff Arena this summer.
In 42 appearances for Ajax in all competitions last season, Kudus showed off his football skills, scoring an incredible 18 goals and dishing out seven assists.
