The Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations has reiterated the need for Ghanaians to employ the labor migration policy to check issues of labor migration in the country.
According to the ministry, labor migration issues in the country are quite unappealing hence the need for the ministry to organize platforms to educate and inform people about the importance of the policy to labor migrants.
Speaking in an interview on the ATLANTIC WAVE Tuesday, the Head of Public Relations at the Ministry, Madam Charlotte Hanson said, the Government initiated the policy because it lacked data to control labor-management issues in the country thus the policy was developed in 2020 in order to protect and empower labor migrants.

“So, we have developed this policy in the country and want to educate the public to know there is a policy in the system” she added.
Madam Hanson further urged citizens to endeavor to find the best channels to leave the country to enable the government to keep track of them.
“If you want to travel, make sure you use the recognized and authorized institution so that you don’t fall a victim to unscrupulous persons,” she said.
