Nigerian Afrobeats artist Davido has shared how his encounter with American R&B star Chris Brown significantly impacted his career.
The “Blow My Mind” hitmaker revealed that his career took off after meeting Breezy in 2018 during a recent episode of the Bagfuel Brigade podcast.

Davido recounted the story of their first meeting, stating, “Meeting Chris Brown changed my life. I met him in 2018 through a mutual friend.”
He explained, “The friend called me on FaceTime while my song was playing in the background. When I asked where he was, he said he was at Chris Brown’s house. I couldn’t believe they were playing my music! He showed Chris dancing to my song.”
“That was our first conversation. A few months later, I traveled to America and connected with Chris. From that moment, we naturally became friends.”
