To avoid repercussions for allegedly defiling his pregnant biological daughter, a 75-year-old father reportedly poisoned himself to death.
Kofi Wangara was discovered dead in a strange position in a bush after a hunt for him was initiated after his daughter accused him of sexual assault.
The alleged incestuous deed is said to have lasted two months in Juaboso, Western North Region.
The 17-year-old girl (name withheld) claims that her father took advantage of her mother’s stay in a herbal home to sexually abuse her during the duration.
She informed Adom News that she blew her father’s cover as soon as her mother arrived since she was hostile to the deed.
Despite refuting the charges in front of family members, the suspect is claimed to have escaped until his rotting corpse was discovered in the bush.
Nana Tan Kwaku II, Chief of Praso, said that certain traditional rites would be done to cleanse the land and the pregnant daughter in question.
He specified two sheep, schnapps, and other objects as the required ransom for the ritual’s execution.
