The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Mahama, is set to launch the party’s youth manifesto today, ahead of the December 7 elections.
The event will be held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) and is part of the activities to mark the 2024 International Youth Day on August 12.
In an interview on Adom FM, the National Youth Organiser, George Opare Addo explained that the launch aims to reaffirm the NDC’s commitment to addressing youth concerns.
“We’ve titled the manifesto ‘The Pledge,’ reflecting our promises to Ghanaians in key areas such as health, education, agriculture, ICT, mining, environment, jobs, and governance,” Mr. Addo said.
He emphasized that the manifesto will detail John Mahama’s strategies and pledges to empower the youth and tackle their most pressing issues.
Later today, Mr. Mahama will also host a special event, the Mahama Youth Town Hall Meeting, at the Bukom Boxing Arena to provide a platform for young people to engage directly with Mr. Mahama, ask questions, and discuss his policies, with a particular focus on reducing youth unemployment and enhancing education, skills development, and entrepreneurship.
