The swearing-in ceremony for President Mahama’s six ministerial nominees, approved by Parliament, was held at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
The newly sworn-in ministers include Haruna Iddrisu as Minister for Education, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Minister for Finance, John Jinapor as Minister for Energy and Green Transition, and Dr. Dominic Ayine as Attorney General and Minister for Justice.
Others are Governs Kwame Agbodza, Minister for Roads and Highways, and Eric Opoku, Minister for Food and Agriculture.
This followed their parliamentary approval on Tuesday, January 21, after a rigorous vetting process by the Appointments Committee.
The ceremony officially marked the commencement of their roles in critical government positions.
President Mahama expressed confidence in the appointees’ abilities to effectively deliver on their mandates, emphasizing the significance of their portfolios in advancing national development.
