The Liquified Petroleum Gas price is expected to fall by up to 2%, according to the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers Ghana (COPEC).
It expects LPG to sell for around ¢10.093 per kilogram.
Their prediction comes after some product users expressed concerns about the product’s sporadic price increases, prompting some to switch to charcoal and firewood.
However, according to COPEC’s Head of Research, Benjamin Nsiah, the drop is only about ¢0.21.
“The price of LPG is expected to decline by 2%, which is around ¢0.21 per kilogram in the first window of May.

“LPG will now be sold at around ¢10.00 per kilogram. This is because the international price per metric tonne of LPG has declined.”
The continuous depreciation of the Cedi and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine have been blamed for the rise in the prices of various petroleum products.
However, petrol and diesel prices are expected to rise by 3% this month.
