“To be honest, I’m just thrilled to have been nominated alongside such talented artistes. Regardless of the outcome, I’ll remain thankful for this recognition and the opportunity to share my work with a wider audience.
“This nomination serves as a reminder that my efforts are valued and appreciated and that’s all the motivation I need to keep pushing boundaries and creating music that inspires. Win or lose, I’ll continue to work tirelessly to hone my craft and make a meaningful impact in the industry,” she told Graphic Showbiz.
Ghana’s music business needs to be more diverse and richer, which is why soprano Lordina Theophane is pushing for the inclusion of choral music in popular music.
The singer claimed that although choral music has made great progress both domestically and abroad, it has not received the same level of attention as other genres in the nation’s music industry.
She asserts that, like other musical genres, choral music has important artistic and cultural significance and that, by putting it in the forefront, its distinctive contributions will be properly acknowledged.
