The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided the full list of categories of persons to return their Diplomatic and Service Passports.
This was contained in a public statement by the Ministry, as directed by the President, to ensure holders of Diplomatic and Service passports return their documents for verification.
Meanwhile those are still eligible for a diplomatic or service passport will have their documents re-issued.
The categories of persons include a wide range of former officials, including ministers and their spouses, parliamentarians, judges, regional ministers, and others holding positions specified under the Passports and Travel Certificates Act of 1967.
Those affected are required to return their passports to the Legal and Treaties Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, not later than Friday, 24th January, 2025.
