LinkedIn users have generally embraced AI, but one feature has not gained the expected traction: AI-generated suggestions for enhancing LinkedIn posts. CEO Ryan Roslansky shared this insight during an interview with Bloomberg, stating, “It’s not as popular as I thought it would be, quite frankly.”
Roslansky explained that the “barrier is much higher” for posting on LinkedIn since it serves as an online resume. Users may also face significant backlash if their posts appear overly generated by AI. “If you’re called out on X or TikTok, that’s one thing,” he remarked. “But on LinkedIn, it can seriously impact your ability to create economic opportunities.”

Despite this, Roslansky highlighted a positive trend: the professional network has experienced a sixfold increase in job postings requiring AI-related skills over the past year, and the number of users adding AI skills to their profiles has surged 20 times.
He also mentioned that he personally utilizes AI when communicating with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, stating, “Every time I send him an email, I hit the Copilot button to ensure I sound Satya-smart.”
