The Unit Head for the Blind at the Cape Coast School for the deaf and blind, Mr. Abugri Wilson Adiebo has appealed to the public to help provide health care for blind students with critical eye conditions in the school.
According to Mr. Wilson some students of the school are suffering from critical eye conditions including pains in the eye which make learning and studies difficult for them.
Speaking exclusively to ATLFM NEWS during a donation by Lady Gladys Campaign for the blind, a non-governmental organization based in Cape Coast, he said resources are inadequate in catering for such students.” So if we have a means of taking them to the hospital, that one can curb that situation and then will bring them some relieve for us to be able to teach them and the students will also be able to learn” he said.
