In the statement, KK Fosu explained he had only met John Claude for the first time, but the family however, were allegedly uncomfortable with his presence around since they perceive that their kin died while serving him.
“However, we learned that the family was unhappy with me because they believed their son was traveling with me at the time of the accident. Although we were in the same car, that was the first time, I saw him or talked to him” he explained.
The “Su dwe” hitmaker, also intimated he was overwhelmed with emotions during his interview on Accra based Hitz FM and that led to an outburst, an unfortunate situation he was apologetic about.

He further added that there were two primary reasons why he couldn’t attend the funeral of John Claude.
He explained that since he had no connection or affinity with the deceased he saw no need to attend and also he was still nursing his injuries.
“I explained that my absence from the funeral was due to two main reasons: the deceased was not known to me and I am still recuperating from the injuries I sustained in the accident. My caregivers have advised against travel and attending public gatherings as part of my recovery process”.
Earlier, KK Fosu addressed criticism about his absence from the funeral of publicist John Claude Tamakloe, who died a few weeks ago in an accident involving KK Fosu and “Chocho Mucho” singer K Bless.
Since the incident, both KK Fosu and K Bless have faced backlash for not reaching out to the deceased’s family to offer condolences or attending the funeral, which took place on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
