The new song by Ghanaian afrobeats sensation King Promise heavily references Kwabena Kwabena’s “Aso.”
The opening to Kwabena Kwabena‘s “Aso” opens and closes the song “Favourite Story,” which features Afrobeats maestro Olivetheboy and Ghanaian rap powerhouse Sarkodie. Some of the song’s lyrics are interpolated.
Essentially, the message is about being disappointed and damaged in a relationship.
King Promise’s upcoming third studio album, “True to Self,” is preceded by the song “Favourite Story.”
This follows in the wake of hit albums like Terminator, Perfect Combi, and Paris, which catapulted King to new heights in the global music landscape.
